Wooden Spoon These utensils are hand made in the Villa Rica Village in the Lakes region of Chile (South America.) Original hand carved design by the Mapuche Indians of Chile. Made of Rauli wood, a cousin of the oak tree, now harvested from sustainable managed forests. The artisans of Villarrica and Pucon use handaxes, chisels and other hand tools to carry on the traditional handicraft from generation to generation. Each piece is handmade and carries its own variations, shades and features.
